Librarians in the nation’s 123,000 libraries make a difference in the lives of millions of Americans every day. Now is your chance to help shine the spotlight on your school's media specialist.

Nominate your media specialist for the Carnegie Corporation of New York/New York Times "I Love My Librarian Award". Up to 10 librarians/media specialists will be honored. Each will receive $5,000 and will be recognized at an awards ceremony hosted by The New York Times at TheTimesCenter in December 2008.

 Box Top$ Contest til Oct. 15

Just clip the label from your favorite cereals, snacks, Ziploc items and hundreds of other participating products. Box Top$ are worth 10 c each when our school redeems them. Start turning them in now. The class that turns in the most Box Top$ will win a prize! All Box Top$ must be placed in the collection box at the front lobby. Remember to label your Box Top$ so that your class gets credit.

Recycle Here!
Hembree Springs Environmental Team has set up boxes in the lobby and computer lab where you can drop off your empty inkjet and laser printer cartridges for recycling.
