Emergency at Haynes
Bridge? NO, just wonderful representatives from career areas who work to make
a safe environment for everyone. The persons in question were the EPA
scientists with their mobile command post, the Fulton County Bomb Squad
with their friendly robot, and the Alpharetta Fire Department complete
with truck and equipment. We were certainly SAFE that day. From Doctors
to Robots, Sales Representatives to Financial Planners, Vets to the EPA,
Firemen to Law Enforcement and Sports to Artists, Haynes Bridge was well
represented by a myriad of careers. Career exploration relating the world
of work to education and individual interests is a vital part of the Fulton
County curriculum. We give a “big thanks” to all of the parents
and community members who gave valuable time to share their careers with
our students. An even “BIGGER THANKS” is given to Mrs. Colleen
Tangen and Mrs. Patti Kilgore and their PTA co-workers who planned, organized
and executed this most successful day!
