Career and technical education textbooks and instructional materials being considered for future use in Fulton County middle schools are available for review starting November 18. Once selected, the materials will be used in Business and Computer Science, Family and Consumer Science, Engineering and Technology, and Career Connection classes beginning with the 2010-11 school year.

Eleven middle schools will host the proposed materials until December 15: Autrey Mill, Bear Creek, Camp Creek, Elkins Pointe, Holcomb Bridge, Hopewell, Renaissance, River Trail, Sandy Springs, Taylor Road and Paul D. West. The textbooks will be on display daily from 8 a.m. until the close of the school day.

Parents, school system employees and community members are invited to review the materials and comment on their preferences.

FULTON COUNTY TO OFFER H1N1 VACCINATIONS IN SATURDAY CLINICS
Three H1N1 Clinics Will Administer Vaccine November 21, 2009
The Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness will hold special Saturday Clinics to offer the H1N1 vaccine, nasal spray and injections, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009. This will allow Fulton County residents in CDC’s high priority groups a convenient opportunity to receive the vaccine. The H1N1 Saturday Clinics will be held at the following locations:

Internet access is available at your school in support of the instructional program. The Fulton County School System complies with the Children's Internet Protection Act. Filtering is in place that blocks access to material that may be inappropriate for your child. Web sites are permitted or denied upon review of the school Media Committee. Acceptable use of the Internet is established in Board Policy / Procedure IFBGA, Electronic Network Access .
