Students that have failed classes required to graduate should register to make-up classes as soon as possible.
Night School -- Available to students who wish to take classes in core subjects. Students may attend classes at McClarin High School (5:00 – 8:00 Mon. & Wed. or Tues. & Thurs). The cost for this program is $190 per course ($150 for students eligible for free lunch) and students may take up to two classes at a time. Registration for the last term of night school begins on January 5 th and ends on January 15 th . Any student wishing to attend night school must register before this date with their guidance counselor. Night School classes begin on January 26th and ends on May 5thh. Night school course offerings depend largely upon the total number of students enrolled per course. For the 2009-2010 academic year Banneker High School will host a pilot night school program. Course offerings and space are limited. If you are interested in participating in this program second semester, please see your guidance counselor for more information.
Summer School – Available to all students wishing to take a variety of classes. Students attend classes daily. Students may take a maximum of two semester long classes. The cost for summer school 2010 has not been determined yet, however the cost for 2009 was $225 per semester long course or $450 for two semesters. Registration materials and costs will be available in March 2010. Students may register with their guidance counselor at that time.
PLATO-Available to seniors only who wish to re-take classes in core subjects. The student must have failed the course. Coursework is completed online and progress is largely independent. Students may take up to two classes however, they are only allowed to take one at a time. There is no cost for this program. Students must complete this program by May 1st to be counted towards graduation requirements.
Fulton Virtual School--Available to any student that needs to take a course in core subjects. Coursework is completed online and progress is largely independent. The cost is $250 per course. Students that wish to take classes during the school day may participate for free.
Georgia Virtual School-- Available to any student that needs to take a course in core subjects. Coursework is completed online and progress is largely independent. The cost is $300 per course. Students that wish to take classes during the regular school day may participate for free.
