SAP goes live on Monday, October 1
 

By now, you've probably heard the buzz about SAP (pronounced 'ess-ay-pee'... just like the letters!) and how it's going to do great things for Fulton County Schools. This will be a major change for employees who have used the existing business systems for many years.

On Monday, October 1, Fulton County Schools will go live with key components of SAP, including finance, purchasing, and facilities maintenance.


Employees of the Year celebrated at 'The Main Event'
 

The annual event to honor Teachers of the Year and School/Support Professionals of the Year -- affectionately known as 'The Main Event' -- is Friday, October 19. This gala celebration recognizes our award-winning employees and outstanding business partners.

The 2008 theme is "Stars," an accurate description of those who shine brightly in Fulton County Schools!


Sick Leave Bank deadline is October 1
 

Enrollment for the Employee Sick Leave Bank is ongoing for eligible employees who wish to donate two days of sick leave toward the bank. The deadline is the end of the business day on Monday, October 1.

The Fulton County School System is home to the brightest and most talented educators in Georgia -- and the nation!

Each month teachers and staff members receive awards or other honors that bring pride and recognition to their schools as well as the school system.


Open Enrollment runs October 10 - November 9
 

The school system's annual Open Enrollment for benefits is October 10 to November 9. This is the time of year to make changes to your existing benefits plan or to enroll, if you are not currently receiving FCS coverage.

Information packets regarding available benefits are being sent to each employee at their school or office.


Employee's Charitable Fund campaign under way
 

The 2008 Fulton Schools Employees' Charitable Fund campaign is now under way with the goal of surpassing last year's contribution total of $414,676. You can designate monthly payroll gifts to any five of 20 agencies represented or give a one-time donation.

The deadline to contribute is October 5.

As an employee of one of the county's largest employers, you may benefit from discounts offered by certain local and national merchants. These programs are approved by the school system's Contracting Department and/or the Partners & Volunteers Office.
