Young Georgia Authors' Writing Competition
Susan Lee
Fifth Grade Ocee Elementary
won the 2008-2009 contest by the Georgia Department of Education. Her entry entitled "Spider Stone" was judged at the school, county, district, and state levels and she received her award at the October meeting of the State Board of Education
Having the largest number of winners, Fulton Schools is a participant in the Metro RESA division along with Rockdale, Decatur City, Gwinnett, Clayton, Douglas, Forsyth, Atlanta, Buford, and Cobb systems.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
All students currently enrolled in Georgia public schools, kindergarten through twelfth grade, may submit writing entries for the system level competition; however, the maximum number of writing entries any local system may submit to the state competition is one per grade level.
