1. Develop appropriate, differentiated instruction for students on an individualized basis or in groups based on Fulton County curriculum and REP guidelines for the state of Georgia.
2. Employ instructional methods, materials, and technology that are most appropriate for meeting specific Mathematics State Standards
3. Manage the learning environment making it conducive for a safe, orderly, and productive learning experience for all students.
4. Outline processes and prepare documents for assessing students’ achievement levels, classroom performance and academic progress.
5. Assist school staff in properly identifying and supporting students who meet eligibility requirements.
6. Collaborate with teaching, counseling, and administrative staff to interpret data and design a substantive remediation program that can meet the specific needs of the school and improve students’ performance on state-mandated tests.
7. Monitor and maintain accurate records (i.e. attendance, academic progress, retention and promotion data, etc.) required for school, county, and state reporting for the Remedial Education Program.
8. Participate in professional learning activities to enhance both individual awareness and services to students.
9. Adhere to the George Professional Standards Commission’s Code of Ethics, all Fulton County Schools Board policies and procedures, and local school guidelines and regulations.
10. Perform other professional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the principal or the principal’s designee.

• Must hold or be eligible for a Georgia certificate level T-4 or above in the required remedial position – mathematics, reading, or writing.
• Possess highly qualified status in assigned subject field as defined by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
• Must have valid Professional Standards Commission approved subject-specific endorsements as required.
