Salary Actual salary placement will be based on Fulton County Board of Education experience and education calculations from the Non-Teaching Salary Schedule - Executive Scale (B) - Grade 34.  
Description Directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resources staffing function within a large, metropolitan K-12 environment.  This specifically includes all functions related to sourcing, recruitment, selection, evaluation, certification and assignment of personnel in multiple types of positions.  Active knowledge of human resource trends, technology and strategies are necessary to fulfill the duties/responsibilities associated with this position. 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Interpret and monitor compliance with Board policies, administrative procedures and human resource guidelines pertaining to all human resource activities and decisions.  Recommend updates and revisions of policy, procedure and guidelines to the Chief Human Resource Officer. 
  • Work directly with central and school-based leadership to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities related to all human resource matters.            
  • Use both independent decision making and collaborative efforts in order to review and make decisions regarding recommendations for termination and other disciplinary actions for a wide cross section of employees. 
  • Possess the ability to objectively coach employees and system leaders through complex human resource issues.  Such counsel should be based on human resource best practices. 
  • Develop and interpret data and reports to help strategically guide current and future human resource decisions. 
  • Provide effective supervision of assigned support personnel. 
  • Assist in the overall supervision of human resource functions and performs other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Executive Director, Human Resource Operations.
 
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in related field including education or human resourcemanagement; minimum (3) years of experience in the field.  
  • Certification/Licensure in Educational Leadership or Human Resources(PHR/SPHR) preferred.   
  • Knowledge of human resource laws, policies and practices with emphasis onthose laws and policies specific to public schools;  
  • The ability to present facts and recommendations effectively orally and in written form.
 
Required Experience

Experience with HR/Payroll enterprise resource planning systems and various computer related applications, e.g. MS Word, Excel, Visio, etc.
