Change is in the air! |
COUNTDOWN: 12
Days |
|
By now,
you’ve probably heard the buzz about SAP (pronounced ‘ess-ay-pee’…just
like the letters!) and how it’s going to do great things for Fulton
County Schools. This will be a major change for many employees who have used
the existing business systems for many years. |
|
|
First Phase
of SAP “Goes Live” on October 1 |
|
|
On October
1, several longstanding FCSS business programs are being transitioned to
SAP. These include ADPICS, ACT, and FAMIS. These programs will no longer
exist in their present state. They will
be replaced by newer – and better – programs in SAP that manage requisitioning
(formerly ADPICS), facilities management (formerly ACT), and funds
management (formerly FAMIS). Hundreds of Fulton County Schools employees
have been training on the new programs for several months so the transition
will be seamless. |

New User ID
and Password Required |

Also on October
1, employees using SAP programs will require a new log-in and password.
When you log on to SAP for the first time, your SAP ID and password will be
as follows: User
ID: Your Fulton
County Schools e-mail prefix. For example, if your email address is
“smithjohn@fultonschools.org,” your SAP User ID is smithjohn. Password:
Your initial
password is welcome (all lowercase). Upon initial log-on, you will be
prompted to change this password. Your new password should be six alpha
numeric characters and will be case sensitive (do not use special characters
such as: &, *, #). Passwords will expire every 30 days. |
