This e-newsletter is sent each Wednesday during SAP implementation to keep SAP users aware of special dates, trainings, and other important need-to-know news. Consider this your “One Stop Shop” for SAP news!

Reminder of “Human Capital Management” information sessions

Last week’s newsletter announced two upcoming opportunities to get an introduction to SAP’s Human Capital Management (HCM) functions. Most of these functions go live in January. Formal training begins in November.

As a reminder, you can join the information sessions. No registration is required. Just drop in!

Tuesday, October 16

Professional Learning Center South

9 a.m. – noon

Monday, October 22

Milton Center

9 a.m. –  noon

Although voluntary, these introductory sessions are recommended for anyone who will be responsible for HCM functions. If you have any questions, contact Lance Rascoe with Ciber.

Redesigned SAP web site launched

When SAP implementation first got under way, information primarily was shared through the “A+ Project” web site. Now that Fulton County Schools has begun to use SAP, that web site needed to go to the next level. It has been redesigned to include more specific information about SAP and how it is affecting Fulton County School System operations.

Like any web site, the “FCS + SAP” site is a continual work-in-progress. It is being updated frequently to become a user-friendly resource for SAP news. The site contains FAQs, training presentations, newsletters, and upcoming SAP events.

Visit the new FCS + SAP site now, and check back often for updates!

Reminder of SAP Log-in Procedures

It’s been a little over a week since SAP launched in the Fulton County School System. If you haven’t yet had a chance to log-in to SAP for the first time, here is how:

  1. Click on the SAP icon on your computer
  2. Your ID is your Fulton County Schools e-mail prefix. For example, if your e-mail is “smithjohn@fultonschools.org,” your SAP ID is smithjohn.
  3. Your initial password is welcome (all lowercase)
  4. Upon initial log on you will be prompted to change this password. Your new password should be six alpha-numeric characters and will be case sensitive. Do not use special characters such as: &, *, #.

Passwords will expire every 30 days.

If you have any trouble, call the SAP Help Desk at 404-669-4956 and they can get you started.

Quick Tip for the Week

Did you know that when you log into SAP you have access to two clients? Client 200, which is your default, is the production client where you do your work. Client 460 is for training. So if you would like to practice a transaction before doing it for real, try using Client 460.
