Fulton Virtual provides competency-based, personalized learning options for students throughout the district. We offer middle and high school core courses and several electives to Fulton students in grades 6 -12. Elementary students taking middle school courses may also take them through Fulton Virtual. Our online program provides students aiming to accelerate or to recover credit with flexible options.
Fulton Virtual utilizes full-time online teachers to deliver Fulton County curricula in high quality, student-centered courses. In our competency-based courses students work at a personalized pace based on their academic needs. While students complete courses by the end of the term, the rate they move through a particular unit varies. A student needs to demonstrate mastery of a lesson before progressing to the next one. Fulton Virtual teachers work with each student as they provide additional activities and instruction to enrich and remediate lessons. As students work on a topic they are reassessed until they show mastery and are ready to move on.
Who can take FVS courses?
FVS is an option for any student enrolled in a Fulton County School wishing to take one or more of the middle or high school courses we offer.
How do I take a FVS course?
Students can request a course through our registration page. Course requests are reviewed by a counselor at a student's home school. Once a course is approved by the school the registration is complete.
