The mission of the FCS Communications Department provides services and support that deliver clear, transparent communication to all stakeholders.
Communications strives to provide FCS families with accurate and timely information so they can help their kids achieve academic success and graduate ready for their next steps in college, career and life. At the same time, Communications works to provide colleagues with the information they need so they can focus on our district vision, Where Students Come First.
Communications oversees districtwide internal and external communications, including district and school crisis communications; media relations; interpretation and translation services; daily newsletters for staff and weekly newsletters for community; and daily updating of fultonschools.org, social media and the employee portal. Communications also produces annual publications, assists with coordinating FCS events and responds to requests for records under the Georgia Open Records Act.
