Chef Sloan Selected as FCS 2016 Professional of the Year!

As a cafeteria manager and district chef, Chef Sloan has a tough job – getting students to eat a healthy lunch. But the delicious school meals of today are nothing like what many parents and teachers remember growing up. “He not only wants to make sure that Fulton County students are fed safe, nutritious meals but that these meals are presented well and are of the highest quality,” his supervisor Holly Thaw says. Congratulations Chef Sloan!

Georgia Grown Cucumbers and Florida Tomatoes served in Cafes all May!

The entire month of May, all cucumbers served in school cafes are Georgia Grown from Southern Valley Farms in Norman Park, Georgia.  The cherry tomatoes are from Williams Farms in Ruskin and Palmetto, Florida. Both the cucumbers and tomatoes are served on fresh Signature Side Salads and Chef Selection Salads daily!

Fulton Schools Serve Summer Meals
