Heards Ferry Harvesting Day!

Students at Heards Ferry Elementary get down and learn how to harvest! The Heards Ferry Green Team gathered students and taught them how to harvest sweet potatoes, plant seeds, and also gave students the chance to taste test freshly grown sweet potatoes. School gardens offer chances for fun and physical activity while serving as an essential educational means to benefit students in understanding how healthy food is produced. Here at Fulton County, we have 40 school gardens.
