The Fulton County School Nutrition Program recognizes the important role school meals play in combating childhood hunger, and has implemented Summer Feeding Programs so that communities can continue feeding children nutritious meals through summer months.
Each year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture partners with local organizations like the Fulton County School Nutrition Program to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer. Nationwide, more than 3.2 million low-income children participated in the Summer Nutrition Programs in July 2014.
This summer Fulton County Schools is serving free meals at over 30 locations across the county. Any child under age 18 may come and eat.
