The Office of Employee Relations coordinates investigations related to employee violations of approved Board policies and procedures, State Board Policy and other state and federal laws. The office of Employee Relations investigates Fraud, Waste, and Abuse reports received by Fulton County Schools, processes all open records requests received by Human Resources, receives and processes production of document requests and subpoenas received regarding employee matters.
Additionally, the office of Employee Relations receives and investigates office of Civil Rights Complaints (OCR), Equal Employment Opportunity Complaints (EEOC), and employee complaints received in accordance with Board policy and procedures GAE.
The office of Employee Relations works collaboratively with law enforcement agencies in the investigations of employee misconduct and in other administrative or judicial forums. The Employee Relations Office assists in preparing for hearings under O.C.G.A #20-2-940 et. seq. and at each level of classified and certified employee complaint procedures in accordance with Board Policy and Procedure GAE.
The office of Employee Relations reports all violations of the code of ethics to the Professional Standards Commission in accordance with Code of Ethics for Educators 505.6.01.
