Kimberly Dove was appointed by the Fulton County School Board to fill the remainder of the District 6 term vacated in May 2017. She represents areas in the cities of College Park, East Point, South Fulton, and Union City.
A parent of three children, one of whom is a Fulton County Schools Class of 2015 graduate, Dove has held various leadership roles as a school volunteer. She has served as the president, vice president, and parliamentarian of the PTSA at Westlake High School and as co-chair for Westlake's School Governance Council. She also has been a member of the Superintendent's Parent Advisory Council and has held roles as PTA member and volunteer at Renaissance Elementary School, Camp Creek Middle School and Sandtown Middle School. In addition, she is a past recipient of Westlake High School's Volunteer of the Year Award.
Dove's overflow of service spills out into the community with her previous commitments as board member of Protecting Our Schools and Community (POSC) and as a member of the education committee for The People's Campaign. She is a long time resident of South Fulton and currently resides in the newly formed City of South Fulton.
A technology enthusiast, Dove has worked in the tech industry specializing in mergers and acquisitions with systems integrations, network infrastructure, and analyzing corporate applications across multiple business units since 1998. She holds a bachelor's of science degree in information technology.
The current four-year term for District 6 is set to expire December 31, 2018.
