2016-2017 Middle School Reach Scholarship Recipients

The Guidance and Counseling Department encourages the maximum development of every student by supporting their educational, academic, career, personal, and social needs. We will provide the skills for all students to succeed in the 21st century.

National School Counseling Week 2018, "School Counseling: Building Magical Futures," will be celebrated from Feb.5-9, 2018 to focus public attention on the unique contribution of professional school counselors within U.S. school systems.

The Fulton County School Counseling Program is designed based on the standards and competencies set forth by our national professional organization, The American School Counseling Association. Please see below for more details.

School counseling programs are collaborative efforts benefiting students, parents, teachers, administrators and the overall community. School counseling programs should be an integral part of students' daily educational environment, and school counselors should be partners in student achievement.

The question has been posed, "What do school counselors do?" The more important question is, "How are students different as a result of what school counselors do?" To help answer this question, the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) created the ASCA National Model®, which is a framework for a comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program.
