The Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) requires Fulton County Schools to filter all internet content available through our local school network to protect kids from obscene, pornographic, and otherwise harmful materials and images. Implemented in January 2001, CIPA requires constant monitoring of all internet activities by students and the provision of digital citizenship courses for all students as outlined in the Protecting Children in the 21st Century Act. As a district, we strive to maintain a safe digital environment for our students, while providing them with appropriate access to resources which personalize their learning. Web content filtering in Fulton County Schools is handled by the Filtering Committee, FCS IT Helpdesk, and Instructional Technology. If you have a filtering issue at your school please contact your child's teacher who will then follow the procedure below. For more information please visit any of the helpful links.
