Seed Fund Awards
The Fulton Education Foundation, in conjunction with Fulton County Schools, is pleased to announce that forty-four schools have recently received Seed Fund awards to implement new strategies in their schools. Through this year's competitive grant process, the Foundation awarded $6.04 million to Cohort 1 and 2 schools and School Governance Councils that identified potential solutions to a need outlined in their school strategic plans. These funds were awarded in February 2015 for implementation during the 2015-16 school year (FY 16). This makes for a total of $8.7 million that have been awarded to schools since the inception of the Seed Fund in 2014-15. Last year, the Foundation awarded $2.6 million to Cohort 1 schools and School Governance Councils for implementation during the current 2014-15 school year (FY 15).
