Riverwood Cluster Improvements

 

 

 

 

 

Riverwood High School

New addition increasing school capacity by twenty-six (26) instructional units and site improvements. (See Classroom Additions for supplemental information)

Note:  This project has been revised to delete the renovaton and modification of the existing building.  The revised scope is to construct a new building addition which can be incoporated into a design of a new replacement high school contigent upon future funding. The following scope description has therefore been deleted.

Major renovation and modification of existing building and site improvements which may include the following work:

• Replacement of floor finishes as needed.

• Replace and/or repair skylights.

• Painting as necessary.

• Replace and/or repair plumbing fixtures as required.

• Major upgrade and renovation of HVAC system.

• Update auditorium sound system as required.

• Replace as needed marker and tack boards, lockers, toilet accessories, toilet partitions and shelving.

• Replace as needed fixed furniture such as cabinets, countertops, blinds and fixed seating.

• Replace emergency generator and update emergency power.

• Update intercom and sound systems as required.

• Replace fire alarm panel and devices as required.

• Replace elevator controls.

• Replace and/or refinish gymnasium wood flooring.

• Energy conservation improvements as needed.

• Repair, resurface and/or restripe parking lots and entrance drives as required.

• Refinish tennis court surfaces.

• Replace sidewalks and pedestrian pavement as necessary.

Start Design: In Progress (Revised Scope)

Start Construction: Site Work and Building Demolion (Fall 2015)

Final Completion:  Fall 2017

 

Ridgeview Middle School

Renovation and modification of existing buildings and site improvements which may include the following:

• Patch and repair of exterior walls.

• Replacement of floor finishes as needed.

• Provide exhaust system for Art Room kilns.

• Repair, resurface and restripe entrance drive as required.

• Replace and/or repair perimeter fencing around site.

• Replace sidewalks as necessary.

Start Design:  Spring 2015

Start Construction: Summer 2016

Final Completion: No Later Than Fall 2017

 

Heards Ferry Elementary School (see "New Schools" for additional information)

New school of fifty-four (54) instructional units and associated site improvements to replace existing elementary school facility.

Start Design: Complete

Start Construction: In Progress

Final Completion: Fall 2015

 

High Point Elementary School

Renovation and modification of existing buildings and site improvements which may include the following:

• Patch and repair of exterior walls.

• Replacement and/or repair of selected doors, windows and hardware.

• Upgrade building’s exterior appearance.

• Painting as necessary.

• Replace as needed marker and tack boards, toilet accessories and toilet partitions.

• Replacement of floor finishes as needed.

• Replace acoustical ceiling grid and tile as required.

• Replace and/or repair domestic water piping, sanitary sewer and plumbing fixtures as required.

• Update building’s HVAC system and controls as required.

• Replace kitchen hood and exhaust fans.

• Update building’s electrical systems as required.

• Replace selected light fixtures in ceiling grid.

• Replace emergency generator.

• Update public address and sound systems as required.

• Update security system as required.

• Revise electrical service to kitchen and serving line equipment as needed.

• Energy conservation improvements as needed.

• Repair, resurface and restripe entrance drives as required.

Start Design: Complete

Start Construction: Complete

Final Completion: Substantially Complete

 

Lake Forest Elementary School - (2008)

 

* Additional work at each campus may also include the following improvements as needed: furniture and equipment replacement, visitor identification equipment, access control upgrades and surveillance equipment. Other improvements associated with the integration of system wide technology standards, educational specifications and design requirements may also be included per Fulton County Schools’ Board policy.

** Note 1 - Floor covering replacements for elementary schools gymnasiums is complete.
