"Our plan will clearly and elegantly describe our goal, strategy and success measures for moving forward. Most importantly, it will honor who we are and what we will be known for." - Dr. Jeff Rose
Earlier this school year, Fulton County Schools launched the process for the development of our next Strategic Plan, a multi-year initiative that will build on the accomplishments and momentum of Strategic Plan 2017: Building Our Future. As that plan draws to a close, now is the time to step back, reflect on what worked, and refresh and renew our plan. This new strategic plan will serve as a guide and a focus for our work as a district and community for the next five years. It will help ensure that all stakeholders in the community – from the School Board, to staff, to principals, to teachers, to students, parents and community members – are working toward a shared set of goals and priorities.
Members of the Board of Education have worked closely with the Superintendent to identify a goal that articulates what should be true for FCS's graduates and a set of focus areas that will help us achieve that goal. You can hear more about those here.
Over the next few weeks, we will hold conversations with several stakeholder groups to discuss this goal and focus areas and solicit input on what they will mean for people around the district. You can also share input online - we look forward to hearing from you!
