Dr. Matthews was promoted to Executive Director of Counseling Psychological and Social Work Services during the 2009 - 2010 school year. He currently holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Marketing from Western Kentucky University, an Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology from Western Kentucky University, Educational Leadership certification from the University of Louisville and Georgia State University. and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Georgia Southern University. Dr. Matthews’ experience has been in the areas of assessment of and intervention for students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities in school, residential, and psychiatric settings as well as school based and district level administration.
