Purpose

To nurture communication among parents and educators, ultimately leading to greater success for students with disabilities

Goals

Provide support to the Preschool Special Education office to ensure that young children are found eligible and have an Individual Education Program implemented by their 3rd birthday.

Serve on the Services for Exceptional Children Committee to decrease the disproportionate representation of minority students identified as disabled.

Support parents understanding of the post-secondary outcomes available for their children; thereby assisting them in planning.
