GOALS
K-12 Mathematics
To provide mathematics curriculum and assessments that:
• meets
the needs of each individual student.
• builds
students' appreciation of mathematics and its relationship to the other
disciplines it serves.

students' confidence in their own mathematical abilities by allowing them to
create, construct, and discover mathematics.

students in becoming mathematical problem solvers.

students' mathematical reasoning skills by requiring them to make conjectures,
gather evidence, and build/support arguments.

students to utilize technology as tools in problem solving.

students to develop proficiency in concepts and skills measured by standardized
