PARTNERS & VOLUNTEERS
The Fulton County School System values collaboration with the community. Partnerships between the home, school and the community help to support student learning.
Fulton provides a partnership framework that gives schools the flexibility to choose their partners and tailor relationships to a specific school community. Working as a team, Fulton’s schools and communities can improve student achievement, teach students to be lifelong learners and prepare them for an ever-changing society.
Business Partnerships
Business partners and their volunteers bring additional resources to the school including time, talent, experience and expertise in addition to financial and in-kind contributions. There is no one-size-fits-all program because school needs are based on student needs.
Each relationship is designed by the school in partnership with the business (large or small), civic organization, public agency or individual volunteer. Participation in Fulton programs provides a powerful and lasting way for the community to impact student academic achievement.
Volunteers in Schools
High performing schools realize the importance of building exemplary relationships with all stakeholder groups and developing strategic, measurable partnerships that meet the needs of the students. Schools collect data on the hours and activities that volunteers contibute to their schools.
Awards Programs
Schools can apply annually for two awards that are reflective of quality school community programs: The Golden Apple Award for exemplary volunteer programs and the Blue Ribbon Award for exemplary business partnerships.
