The Guidance and Counseling Department provides leadership at Alpharetta High School through implementation of a developmental, preventive, and crisis intervention program designed to further social, emotional, and intellectual development in students. Counselors conduct individual counseling, group counseling, classroom advisement, and consultation with school staff, parents, and community resources.

- KAPLAN SIGN-UPS STILL GOING ON FOR FALL CLASSES--
There are still some remaining spots in Fall Kaplan courses available to both Seniors and Juniors. Please call Kaplan at 1-866-637-9155 to register now! The courses begin at $125 per person and are first come, first-served.
- JUNIOR ADVISEMENTS COMING SOON! --
Junior Advisements are a time when each counselor will meet with every junior on their caseload to review transcripts and graduation status reports. We will go over vital information regarding college plans and applications, career plans and exploration, financial aid and scholarships, and much more! Counselors will be mailing invitations to each junior's home by September 19th and appointments will run from October 1st-December 19th.
- 2008-2009 TESTING SEASON IS APPROACHING--
The testing season here at AHS will begin in September. Throughout the year, some students will be taking the Georgia High School Graduation test, PSAT, End-of-Course Tests, AP Exams, and/or the SAT and ACT. Click here to find out more information about testing days and times.
- TRANSCRIPT REQUEST FORMS FOR COLLEGE APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED BEGINNING
SEPTEMBER 2ND--
Mrs. Brenda Lewis, AHS Records Coordinator, Counseling Suite 1310, will begin accepting College Transcript Request forms on Tuesday, September 2nd. One request form is required for each college that is requesting a transcript.
