Darren Diaz Wins CWES Spelling Bee

Fourth and fifth grade students participated in Cogburn Woods’ third annual Spelling Bee on Friday, January 12. Congratulations to Darren Diaz, a fifth grade student in Mrs. Fetter’s class for being our winner! Darren will represent Cogburn Woods at the Fulton County Spelling Bee, which will be held on February 1 at Parklane Elementary School in Eastpoint. Lindsay Berman, a fourth grade student in Mrs. Parham’s class, will serve as an alternate. Congratulations Darren and Lindsay. We are so proud of you! We extend our thanks to Ms. Rashida Thomas who was our caller, and our judges, Mrs. Detjen, Mrs. Hirschland and Mrs. Hardy.
