On August 17, 2006, the Fulton County School Board voted to move forward with the implementation of a new computer system, including software, hardware, and services. The reason for this project is the replacement of the failing mainframe system that is currently in use. Fulton County Schools has selected SAP as the software of choice, CIBER, Inc. as the integration vendor of choice, and Capital Principles, LLC as the 3rd Party Assurance vendor of choice.

In addition, key personnel from the Fulton County School System are being included in the project in order to bring functional knowledge to the project planning and implementation. The project team was carefully selected in order to best utilize the institutional knowledge of each of these individuals.

The organizational chart for the project can be seen here: A+ Project Organizational Chart

The timeline for the project began with the project being kicked off on August 21, 2006. The project as it is currently planned will be completed in two phases. Phase 1 will have a targeted completion date of early Fourth Quarter 2007 and Phase 2 will have a targeted completion date of May 1, 2008.
