Field
trips within our county and to nearby points of interest are scheduled
by classroom teachers and local schools throughout the school year.
These trips are designed to supplement different aspects of the
classroom curriculum and to introduce students to the resources
of the community. All
trips shall be subject to school bus safety standards and conducted
according to
the policies
established by the district and the school. |

Local
schools can log on using any web browser and submit field trip requests
quickly and easily. They can track and check the status of
their field trip request. This provides a fast and efficient tool to
schedule and manage the 3,500+ instructional field trips each year.
Communication between the transportation department and the schools
is greatly impoved by using this web based application.
