Haynes Bridge is looking for parents/community members to serve on School Council. LSAC is a community-based advisory committee that works in cooperation with the principal and other parent organizations for the improvement of the school. The purpose of the LSAC is to bring parents and other members of the school community together in a spirit of cooperation in an effort to improve academic achievement and to address areas of concern, including difficult education problems. Becoming a member of LSAC is an excellent opportunity to get involved in your child’s school. The terms for the parent positions are as follows: two- one year terms (2010-2011); and two- two year terms (2010-2012). If you wish to be considered for nomination as a parent, please complete the letter that was sent home in your child’s first day packet and return it to Mr. Tomlin. The deadline for submission is Friday, September 3, 2010.

NEW	Important School Startup Info from PTA
Home Access Center (formerlly Parent Connect)	HAC will roll out to parents on or around the end of September. The web-based information center will have all the information Parent Connect had available. Parents will need to come in to the school and show identification to receive their pass-code. Please read the Eagle Edition for further notice as to when HAC will be ready for viewing.
Health Education Materials	The Health Advisory Committee has recommended material for the Health Curriculum. These materials are available for perusal at the Milton Center and the Administrative Center. The materials will be available until September 11, 2010. Children's Internet Protection Act
Internet access is available at your school in support of the instructional program. The Fulton County School System complies with the Children's Internt Protection Act. Filtering is in place that blocks access to material that may be inappropriate for your child. Web sites are permitted or denied upon review of the school Media Committee. Acceptable use of the Internet is established in Board Policy / Procedure IFBGA, Electronic Network Access . The policy and procedure may be viewed in the school media center or on-line at "http://www.fulton.k12.ga.us".
