Adaptive Art is ...

 

 

 

In this lesson students improved hand-eye coordination, listening skills, problem solving skills, and understanding of ecosystems required for life. 

     

This is an extension of studies of seasons of the year and weather.  

Students also practice shape and color recognition, size discrimination and location in space.  Art concepts include foreground, middle ground and background. 

     

Students studied food groups and healthy nutrition.  In addition, they worked on fine-motor, decision-making, and sequencing skills. 

Students studied domestic animals, the food pyramid, food chain, and healthy nutrition.  At the same time, they worked on fine-motor skills, decision making, and sequencing skills. 
Students studied seasons, weather, and the effect of  light and rainfall on our environment.  They also learned about visual communication elements that we use in fine art and business applications to share ideas visually: repetition of shape and color to create unity; line and mark quality to communicate emotions.
